Jacqueline Moore

Hello again Dusty Attic fans!!!!
Nice to see you all here in December all getting ready for the festive season, today I have a layout of my little boy when he was only two !
'All Smiles'

Some close-ups :-)

For my title 'All Smiles' from Mini Captions #9 I have simply painted it with a thin coat of Dusty In Color in Coal. I have also cut one of the smaller banners from Banners #1 and covered it in patterned paper tucking it under the flowers on the lower right side of the photo.

I have cut out the center part of one of the small pieces of the Ornamental Trim Set, laying it at the top of the page above the triangle and doilie with a small banner below and word strip on top.
It has also been painted with Coal paint as has the Hashtag Saying #lovemylife (in the picture below).

I have taken one of the Doodads #2 and painted it with a generous coat of Prima White Crackle Paint then layered down the left hand side of the photo.

These Indian Arrows are still among one of my favorite chipboard pieces!!! I have painted the entire piece black with Coal then used a small brush to add Twinkling H2)'s in Iridescent Gold, being carefully to paint around the detailing as I wanted to leave that black so that it popped. I have then brushed the tips of the feathers with a generous amount of glue and sprinkled on Chunky Gold Glitter. I finished it by wrapping sparkling bronze thread around areas of the feathers and arrows to make it appear as if the are separate pieces that have been tied together.
I then layered it above a resin frame on the left of my page, feathers down and pointing towards the photo. I added a small clock and flower on top.

Live, Love, Laugh - Jacqueline Moore

Hi everyone!! I am back today to share with you a  Canvas I made using some really beautiful pieces of Dusty Attic Chipboards.

Dusty Attic Products I have used:

Here is the canvas I created:
'Live, Laugh, Love'

Pink is a colour I adore!!!! Not to mention that I have been a little addicted to it lately!

The canvas is 12x16 Inches.

 Some Details:

I have taken the 'Live, Laugh, Love' for my title from the Mini Captions #6, simply coloring it with Black Ink. I have layered it above a resin frame. When I had finished the Canvas I gave everything a generous spray of Pearl Silver Mist, giving everything a gorgeous shimmer, including the title.

I have painted both Spring Blooms #1 and Foliage #5 with a very thick coat 13 Arts White and Silver Glitter Paint. When the dried I cut them apart accordingly and spread them around the canvas, tucking them into, and beneath, flower clusters.

The two 'Teardrop' drops are from the Ornate Pendants Set, painted with White SPLASH! Ink. I have used one slightly larger than the other then placed them side by side at different lengths, to look as though they are 'hanging beneath the flowers.

The 'XOXO' at the bottom of the photo was given the same treatment as the title.

The Mini Birdcage #2 has also been painted White with SPLASH! Ink. I have then placed a very small square of foam tape at the top of it, before tucking beneath the flowers, so that it sits slightly raised off the Canvas.

At the top here  are some of the smaller parts cut from the Spring Blooms #1.

There is a lot of dimension on this canvas and tucking in the chipboard below, in-between and above layers really helps distinguish the different layers of the Canvas.
That is all from me today!! I hope you like what I have created and will be inspired to pull out your own stash to give something fun and different a go!!!

Have a great week!!

Enjoy these little Moments -Jacqueline Moore - Mood Board Inspiration

Hi everyone!! Back again with another layout to share..... this time based on the October Moodboard here at Dusty Attic.

Here is this month's moodboard:

I have taken the blue, and golden tones from the moodboard, however instead of using the oranges I have chosen to use Gold itself, along with the blues, a hint of green and black.

I know its a little early, but I couldn't resist the temptation, to scrap this photo of Jet at Christmas a few years back. I have tried to give my page a non-traditional Christmas feel.

'Enjoy These Little Moments'

The black background was inspired by Jennifer hedger, owner of Dusty Attic, when she said to me she would love to see how some of my work would come up on a black background. Unfortunately it didn't turn out quite as well as I had hoped, but it was a good practice run!!

Some Details:

For my title I began by spreading Modelling Paste through the Heidi Swapp stencil 'Enjoy', on top of the already painted background. When it was dry I replaced the stencil and spread Gesso over it so that it was white (Modelling Paste dries transparent), I then outlined the inside of the word enjoy with lead pencil, and added some letter stickers on foam tape to create the word 'These'. Next I have then taken the 'Little moments' chipboard from the mini Captions #6 and painted it with 13 Arts White SPLASH! Ink. When that was dry i brushed Gold Glitter paint along the bottom half of the title, creating a two-toned effect.

I have painted the Mini Brick Panel White with Gesso, then cut it apart, attaching it to the background around my paper layers to create depth, and added interest.
The Mini Reindeer has simply been Inked Black and layered on top of the Lace Border #3 and Mini Brick Panel.

The Vintage Flourish was painted with Viva Decor Maya Paint in Old Gold, then wrapped in Bronze sparkling thread. I have used both a large and small one, layering them above my flowers, with more flowers on top. I have also added a few of the small teardrop Ornate Pendants, which I have simply covered with White liquid pearls.

The Leaves #2 have also been painted White with SPLASH! Ink, and once again brushing them with Gold glitter paint, though this time all over. I have then tucked them into flower clusters around the page.

I have taken the Lace Border #3, cutting off the 2 pieces the same, to create smaller decorative pieces. I have given them the same treatment as the leaves #2 before attaching them to the left and right edges of my page with the points facing inward toward the photo.

That's all I have to share today. I hope you have enjoyed my post and found something to inspire you! Just add your link to the right hand side of the blog to enter the Mood board to win a $100 Dusty Attic voucher from the Website.

You and Me - Jacqueline Moore

Hi guys!!! I hope you are all well!!!
Today I would like to share with you this layout I made using some of the awesome new chippies, and one of the stencils now available in the Dusty Attic Store.

'You & Me'

I have used paper from the mental vacation collection for my background, covering it with Gel medium then creating a watercolor effect using mists.
I have then used black pen to doodle some stitching around the border and trace some arrows from Dusty Attic's new Feather and Arrows Stencil.

Some details:

I absolutely LOVE!!!! all the new feather chippies from Dusty Attic.
I have taken the Feather Charms #3 and given it a thin coat of White SPLASH! Ink, slightly watered down so that it did not fill in the engraved pattern on the face of the chipboard. When that was dry I very carefully began painting it with various colors of Twinkling H20's. I have used a very tiny paintbrush to color some of the very small detailed areas.
When I was happy with the final result and it had dried I wrapped some sparkling Turquoise thread around it.

The leaves #2 one of my 'go-to' pieces for a lot of my creations lately. they look great and always add a little something extra to any layout!!
These have been painted with a few different shades of Green using 13 Arts Matte Paints.

The Lacey Nameplate was simply given two coats of Gesso before being painted over with a thin coat of White SPLASH! Ink, which makes it much more pure 'White' rather than the off-white of the Gesso.
I have placed it in among the paper layers that make up my photo mat.

I have taken one of the Nameplates and one of the end pieces from the Vintage Nameplate Set and simply colored it with black ink. I have then cut the Nameplate in two, placing the smaller side among the paper layers on the right of the page. I have placed the larger side on the left adding the end piece beneath it.

The title is from the new Mini Captions #7. I have painted it with a rough coat of Gesso then added color using the same Twinkling H20's that I used on the feather.
I have placed it at the bottom of my layout on a couple of strips of Washi Tape.

Here you can see the smaller half of the Vintage Nameplate that I placed among the papers on the pages right, and just above it you can see the awesome arrows I stenciled using Dusty Attic's great new Feather and Arrows Stencil.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed my post!

Dream - Jacqueline Moore - Mood Board inspiration

There are still two days to get your entry in for the Mood Board this month.
Have a look at what Jacqueline has created to inspire you.

Hey Dusty Attic fans!!! I hope you are all well?
Today I would like to share with you my take on this month's moodboard. I had so much fun fun with this and love how it turned out. I hope I can inspire you to pull out your stash of Dusty Attic and give our moodboard a go, you only have a few days left, and remember there is a $100 voucher to the Dusty Attic store up for grabs!!

September Moodboard:

I have a lot of trouble combining colors, such as Pink and Blue, that are just so opposite each other. I can just never make it work!!! So today I decided I would just take those pretty Pink, and Purplish tones from the moodboard and see how I went. I also added in touches of Yellow and Gold.

'Big Dream'

I have decided to layer all three of the String Frames Small across the page, beginning with the smallest on the left, the largest in the middle behind the photo, and the middle sized one to the right. I have simply given them a quick coat of gesso then brushed a very thin layer of white SPLASH! Ink over the top to make them more 'White'.

Some Details:

I painted all the leaves from Foliage #4 with 13 Arts SPLASH! Ink in Gold.
The Heart Attack panel Small has been painted with White SPLASH! Ink before being cut into smaller pieces.

I absolutely love all the new arrow/feather chippies from Dusty Attic!! This one has been painted using a variety of paints from 13 Arts, Viva Decor, and Luminarte Twinkling H20's. I have wrapped some sparkling thread around it to add a little extra detail.

The Mini Hearts #2 have also been painted with a very thick layer of Gold SPLASH! Ink. then scattered around the page.

I have taken the smaller of the Vine Frames #1 and cut it into smaller pieces creating little leafy stems. I have then painted them with a thick layer of Viva Decor Maya Paints in Vintage Gold. The color came out quite Yellowish and I didn't much like it, so while it was still wet I took a baby wiped and rubbed the paint away...... I was left with is a softer glittery Gold with Silvery Highlights......

I was left with is a softer glittery Gold with Silvery Highlights......

All the chipboard leaves and Foliage have been placed around the layout tucked in here and there among my flower clusters and layers.

I hope you like what I have created and are inspired to grab out some Dusty Attic chippies and give our moodboard a go!! Remember there is only a few days left in which you can enter!!

Thanks for stopping by!!!!

Blessed - Jacqueline Moore - Canvas

Hi Dusty Attic Fans!!
It's Jacqueline here today to share with you a canvas I made using some awesome Dusty Attic Products!!

'Blessed'

I have decided to go for a color combination of Browns and Yellow's this time, inspired by the fact that its not a color I use very often and I have a whole heap of embellishments and paints in these colors that almost never get used.
For the background I have mixed some Dusty Attic modelling paste with 13 Arts MAGIC! Powder then spread it onto my background through the New Brick Wall Stencil. When it was dry I watered down various Dusty Attic Paints in Browns and Yellows and proceeded to paint my background, mixing and blending the paints to achieve my desired color gradients. When it dried I brushed a glaze of the Vintage Gold over the top.

Some details:

For my title I have cut the # off the hashtag Sayings word 'Blessed'. I have then painted it with watered down Dusty Paint in Soot, before brushing 13 Arts Gold Glitter Paint over the top.
The leaves from Leaves #2 have been given the same treatment.

From the set of Polaroid Frames I have taken both a large and medium sized Frame. I have then proceeded to cover them in Washi Tapes. The larger Frame has been covered in a brownish/grey tape that has butterflies on it, whilst the second has been covered in a Brownish Tape that has writing on it (I have used the same tape at the top and the bottom of the canvas).

Taking one of the Frames from ATC Frames #3, I have painted in with an extremely thick layer of Dusty Attic paint in Hot Chocolate. I have then dried it very closely with my heat gun, which caused the paint to bubble up. Usually when I dry thick coats of paint with my gun it tends to cause larger bubbles in the paint but to my delight this time the bubbles were all quite small, leaving a fabulous texture in the paint!!!

Here you can see the gorgeous texture from the Brick Wall Stencil and Modelling Paste.

The leaves from foliage #4 have been covered with 13 Arts SPLASH! Ink in White, then Gold Glitter paint.

That is all I have to share with you today. I hope you have enjoyed my post and found something here to inspire you!!
