If you listen to the wind........ - Tina Ollett - Moodboard Inspiration

Thankyou for returning here today. I have my interpretation of this month's moodboard.
I absolutely adore the colours of this moodboard and knew exactly what papers I would use.

It was when I was going through the paper collection of Maja Design's new release "Miles Apart" that I came across a quote from the barcode strip of "Keep in touch", that I knew this was my starting point.

The quote reads:
"If you listen to the wind very carefully, you'll be able to hear me whisper my love for you".
Just beautiful don't you think? So I found my photo to work with this and went to work. I made lots of layers using torn papers from the Maja collection in the tones of the blues and apricot as in the moodboard below. I couldn't believe really how close these colours were.

They are as listed below.

Keep in touch "A"

"Keep in touch "B"

"Keeping Busy" "A"

"Keeping Busy" "B"

I did a little embossing in white around the outside of the background using a stitching stamp. I also added in some texture using white crackle paste and some random stamping in Archival Ink in Watering Can. The barstrip with the quote was cut up and distressed.

I used a number of gorgeous pieces of Dusty Chipboards some you will probably have to look very hard to see but they are there. For me it is all about the layers. So starting off once all my paper layers were down I added in the new release chipboard the "Flowering Vine". I have used the smaller vine from this pack. It was dressed in white crackle paste along with Inka Golds in the colours of mint and apricot.

Another of the new release pieces I used was the Foliage #26 packs.

This was simply dressed with white gesso and a little Rust Paste from the Old Walls Rust Effect Pastes was used very randomly over it.

Next I did a lot of layering using these three pieces of chipboards.

All three of these gorgeous pieces were dressed firstly in white crackle paste and then coloured with Rust Paste in Blue and inked with Ground Espresso Distress Ink. You will see how they were layered in the photos below.

And also a couple of other additions added in amongst my flower clusters are the Broken Bits 9 - Brick and some cut sections from the Wrought Iron fence.

Oh and 1 of the gorgeous keys from the Vintage Keys set .

Lots of lace and leaves with pretty flower pearls and muslin were also added in amongst these layers.

Well that is all from me today. I do hope you have enjoyed this blogpost. I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a very blessed and safe Christmas and New Year
Can't wait to see you all back here again next year.
Thanks for calling by.

Dream Passionately - Tanya Cloete - Mood Board Inspiration

Dusty Attic

Moodboard Inspiration

Teacup Wreath

'Dream Passionately'

Hello dear Dusty FANattics!
Love the soft colour pallette of this months
mood board. It is absolutely stunning! Here
is my take on the May challenge.

Inspired by the soft colours of this mood board I created a Teacup
Wreath featuring the stunning Graphic 45 Botanical Tea Collection
teamed up with some beautiful Dusty Attic chipboard. I created this
piece with my Silhouette (design ID 47200 if you have the machine and
would like to recreate this project, there are some teacup templates
on Pinterest too, you can check it here.) Some of the chipboard buttons
and holly flourish have been painted with Finnabair's Impasto Paint
Mediterranean. The other buttons, heart swirly and title have been heat
embossed with embossing powders in Lilac Pearl and Merci Beaucoup Mint.
I adorned the teacups with some lovely die-cut leaves, swirls, hearts
and butterflies, string and pretty Prima Flowers.

Happy Papercrafting!
