Mixed Media Tag Medley - Amanda Herring

 

Hello 

Well January has certainly blitzed by!

I am here to share my first project for February for The Dusty Attic.

I have made a set of three mixed media tags using the larger tags from the Tag Medley 

Chipboard set.

To start with I have covered the chippy tags in scrapbooking paper as my base and then I added chippy pieces and crackle paste for extra texture.

Once dry and crackled I have added dye ink and mica sprays to unify the colour palette 

And add colour to bring out the textures.

 

I have painted some chippy leaves and added these to my tag bases and then I have then  fussy cut leaves and flowers along with a few laser cut out butterflies from 49 & Market, to complete my tags I have added some ink spots in white and black.

NADYA's BLOGPOST FLASHBACK 2017

Hello our dear Dusty Attic fans. Here is Nadya again with inspiration for our June Mood board. Colors are so soft and tender and I decided to make something feminine and flourish. 

I took chippies from the new release which I covered with embossing powders, also I used stencil "Damask #2"

Paper and flowers are from Rose Quartz collection by Prima marketing

I added some accents as sequences, beads and glitter

Today i'm with a new project - Mixed Media Layout.

 

You & Me - Nicole Doiron - Mood Board Inpiration

Hello Dusty FANattics!

It's Nicole with you today with my second November project, this time inspired by the oh so beautiful mood board challenge!

Here is this beautiful mood board full of pretty plum colours.

In tune with the mood board images, I tried to keep my page in a fairly monochromatic colour palette, working on a beige background and playing with different shades of purples.

I chose this title from the Mini Captions #7 to go along with my photo and theme.

I used a lilac embossing powder on it and dabbed it with some white paint.

Also in the above image, you can see the very dainty Birds on a Branch #3.

I colored it with a sand colored embossing powder. Below, you can see a close up of my flower cluster amidst which I included some flair and a Page Pebble.

An important focal point on my layout is the background Small Damask Panel.

What a stunning piece which looks gorgeous in a rich Garnet colour.

And because we all love flowers, here's another bloom close-up!

This picture of my boyfriend and I was taken 2 years ago already.

To this day, we have been together 12 years and still going strong and in love!
