Hello and welcome to a new year of Happy crafting with my all time favourite Dusty Attic products!
Inspired by the calming colours of the January Moodboard, I used the Christmas Baubles, Candles and Ornate as base for my project this month.
The idea was to create something more elegant but then once again the grunge and texture just took over! I think it's knowing the chipboard can handle all that I throw at it that affects the outcome. After gesso'ing I added Paper Texture Paste as well as white Crackle paste to most of the chippies.
I followed by spraying with Cafe au Lait and Whale Watch Blue from Lindy's Stampgang. On the Houses I used Frayed Burlap Distress Oxide Spray.
The Candles were painted with Allegro Acrylics from Stamperia, Gold Sand and Cappuchino. I also used some Designer Leaf on the Wax Drippings.
On this Bauble I used the Oxide Spray on the Pot, Column and the Moon. A little Designer Leaf was added to the Moon as well.
The Ribbon Banners where soaked in water and distress. After drying they were Gesso'd and painted with the Stamperia paints as well.
I added Flowers and dry Roots and used Stained Wood Wax to highlight the crackles and texture from the Paper paste.
Some Chunky Glitter adds a touch of sparkle to these Baubles. All of these and many new designs are available in the Dusty Attic on-line shop.
