Hello,
I have an off the page inspiration for you!
This was my childhood typewriter, so what better way to tell a story!
and mix media it!
and mix media it!
I started by covering the whole typewriter with heavy gesso.
After drying it, I stencilled with small damasks stencil.
Dried again.
I then cover it with Heritage Kwik crack (local product)
and applied heavy gesso, again.
Drying with heat tool.
Making sure it was completely dry,
I started pouring the alcohol inks on, starting with Oregano then continued with Butterscotch;sepia and teak-wood to create an aged look.
I sanded the edges of the typewriter keys!
For the chip boards I painted with Ayeeda paint (@13arts) metallic dark yellow
and touched up with the butterscotch ink and dusted with black chalk.
After this its just a case of placing and attaching all the elements down.
I used old card board to back and place the photo!
I used printable clocks and handmade butterflies.
I used all sorts of flowers including Dusty in Bloom - Grassy Knoll.
(Adding words by Tim Holtz!)
Included metal hearts and screws (Prima) and a heart plus key padlock!
Products Used:
This was a totally fun experience!
You should try it,
you wont regret it!
