Now is the Time - Patricia Basson - Journal cover

Time again for my March DT project for Dusty Attic....
I took an ordinary Black Hardcover Notebook that I use to write my notes in, and made it gorgeous with several Dusty Attic Chipboard pieces.

I covered it with a nice, thick layer of heavy Gesso. Made some patterns in it and and added pieces of the Large Geometric 12x12 panel. After adding some white crackle paste over and around the chipboard pieces and letting it air-dry, I painted it with some Cashmere Paint mixed with Lindy's Stampgang 'Glory Of The Seas Gold' Starburst Spray. Also painted with watered down Faded Jeans Distress Oxide Ink. I added a good spray of Lindy's Tawny Turquoise Moon Shadow Mist in the Geometric shapes leaving it to pool and add glorious shimmer to the project.

On the raw Vintage Clock #1 I sprayed Lindy's Bayou Boogie Gold and Shabby Turbine Teal Sprays. I used Prima Rust Pastes on the Gem Drop Border and the Decorative Keyhole and covered them with a thick layer of Clear Crackle Varnish...

Some Little Birdie flowers, a Tim Holtz Paper Doll and a few rusted washers complete the transformation of a dull black cover to a yummylisious Mixed Media item!

If you would like to try your hand at something similar, here in the Dusty Attic Shop is where you can find the Dusty Attic products I have used....

Thank you for your visit...
