Hello crafty friends. Tina back today with my next instalment of Dusty Attic goodness.

I have used Maja Designs gorgeous new release collection "Celebration" to create the background for my project and  I decided to go with some earthy colours. However I have kept my chipboards quite simple. The Baroque Large Frame was used along with the corner Baroques to create a border line working diagonally up my layout. I have used two of the large frames. They were Crackled with a white Texture Crackle Paste. Once they dried I inked them with a little Walnut Stain distress Ink and then a little Inklingz from Shimmerz in the colour of Miner Miner.

The window shutters below were dressed similarly except that I peeled away some of the crackle to give that extra worn look and inked the chippie more in these areas to give some highlights.

Windows and Shutters Small

The birdbath as you see above was used in my left hand cluster wrapped up with the vines and sitting atop of the window shutters. I love my birdbaths they are just adorable!

And the Lacey hearts were dressed with Twinkle Twinkle Inklingz Shimmerz and then another random coating of  Inklingz Miner Miner. Gives the chipboard that added touch of elegance.

And my last piece of yummy Dusty was the Roman Number IV. I have used this for the title to my project being that there are 4 of us in the photo. This is fast becoming another favourite chipboard piece for me. They are just big enough to highlight and area of a cluster.

And then there were the flowers.........

Cottage Blooms Linen

And my flowers...... well I tend to love my flowers as much as I do my chipboard. They just go hand in hand. And so I used a few or okay a lot of 49andMarkets gorgeous blooms from a few different collections. I stayed with the earthy colours and added in some leaves, the 2 vines and also some fussy cut elements from the Celebration collection. The flowers are as listed  above and below:

Garden Seeds Linen
Garden Seeds Cotton
Cottage Blooms Cotton

Well that is all from me today. I hope you have enjoyed my project and all the Dusty Chipboards that I have used today can be found HERE

Until next time take care and happy scrapping.

Timeless - Mary Catt - Moodboard inspiration

Hello everyone!

It's Mary here today sharing with you my moodboard inspiration for this month. I made a layout a little bit different than my usual... haven't used any flowers or laces but lots of metal cogs and chipboards.

And here is my layout...
Timeless

I created texture on my background by applying Graphite texture paste through a stencil and then heat embossed the pattern with the Bratwurst Brown Lindy's Gang embossing powder. I used the Dark Chocolate Truffle Lindy's spray to add some color on my page.

I used the Rust Effect Paste to paint the ''Geometric Border'' chipboard.

All the other chipboard pieces were also painted with the Steampunk Copper acrylic paint.

As a final touch I embellished my clusters with some metallique gears and Copper glass glitter.

Bare Feet and Salty Water - Kavitha - Mood Board Inspiration

Hello Dusty attic fans,

Kavitha here today with my take on this months fabulous mood board.

The blue and brown combo inspired me to make a grungy sea theme project. My idea is to
make a messy deep sea scene with lots of texture.
To create the texture i have used teared down laces, gauze cloth and art stones in different sizes.
I have used lots of dusty attic chipboard
that resembles seaweeds.
All the chipboard pieces are coated with heavy white gesso and then colored with pigment ink pads in shades of blue, teal, brown and black

I have also used some real sea shells and few clay embellishments.

Sweet Memories - Mary Catt

Hello Dusty Attic fans!

It’s Mary here. I'm so excited to finally show you my layout that I created for Dusty Attic using some of their fabulous products.

For my background, I used the Chicken Wire stencil with some modeling paste to create texture and I heat embossed the pattern with the Angel Wings Gold Lindy's Gang powder. Then, I added colour with the Sea Grass Green Lindy's spray.

I painted the Mystic Frame #1 chipboard with the Dusty in Colour Forrest and the Dusty in Colour Gingernut. When dried, I rubbed some White Gold Wax.

The chippies from the Foliage #8 were painted with the Finnabair sparks Fairy Wings acrylic paint and then I applied a little white gold wax here and there.

The Flutterbies #3 chipboards and the title from the Mini Captions #10 were also painted with the Finnabair sparks Unicorn's Hair acrylic paint.

I added a few Dusty In Bloom flowers and leaves along with some laces and I sprinkled on them copper glass glitter.
