Once upon a time - Nadya Drozdova - Challenge inspiration

Hi everyone! I am so glad to show you my Layout for our Dusty March mood board. I was inspired by Ferris wheel, so I chose Dusty  Ornate circle frame and Decorative frames  #1. I cover them with Dusty acrylic paints and embossing powders.
There are feathers in Mood board, so I decided to add some on my LO.
The mood board is light and colors are soft. I tried  to combine brown and purple colors like bouquet on the bicycle. I think it are look grate together))
I made splash on the paper using Dusty acrylic paint "Lavender Blush". Added some Prima marketing flowers and foamiran flowers, Finnabair embellishments and glitter.
For my creation I took 7Dotsstudio paper "Writers block" collection and also added some pieces of Prima marketing "Wild and free" collection
I wish you good mood and a lot of inspiration!

Sunshine - Tina Ollett

SUNSHINE

My base background was created using Maja Designs Summertime collection. I cut some banners the gutted back papers and cards from the Die Cut sheet. Everything was distressed and layered. I added in a little lace here and there to complete the base.

You can see above that I have used the Dusty Attic Scroll Set #1. They are just gorgeous. I have cut them up and dressed them in some Chocolate Liquid Pearls.

And I have done the same for the Decorative Set below.

I have laid a strip of the Maja "Happy Summer" quotes through the middle of the frame and glued the extra pieces to the base of it. This is just a stunning piece of chipboard. A big favourite for me!

And the Dusty Wordpl@y #2 is the perfect addition for a small title. This piece was simply gessoed and the edges wiped over with a little liquid pearls.

And another close-up for you........

Well that is all from me today!! Thank you for taking the time to stop by. Until next time happy scrapping and take care. xxx

Steampunk Dreamcatcher - Joanne Bain - Challenge inspiration

Joanne here today to share my Steampunk Dreamcatcher. To create the dreamcatcher I used almost all varieties of Dusty chipboard cogs available. I totally love that they are made in all different sizes, makes them perfect for layered clusters.

'Follow Your Heart'

The centre of the dreamcatcher was made by using 2 of the large cogs from the Jumbo Cogs set. If you choose to give this a go you will need 2 sets of the Jumbo Cog sets. I cut a bit away from the centre of the top cog so once layered it gives a bit of a border to the centre.
In between the 2 cogs I have place and Industrial Scroll.

The main cluster was created by layering a lot of different sized Dusty cogs. The base of the cluster started with a Dusty Cog Cluster and then I continued to later other cogs on top.

The feathers were wet and then slightly pulled apart for extra dimension.

The feathers were attached with copper jewlery wire and some chains from cheap necklaces. To add extra feature to the dreamcatcher I also added some old jewlery hearts.

To go with the steampunk theme I added screws and various Graphic 45 metal keys.

Treasure Memories - Sanderijn de Bruin

Hi everybody!

Today I would like to show you my altered notebook cover.
This was one project that has been on my 'wish to make' list for more than a year now!
I finally had an idea, and because I really wanted to use the new waxes from Finnabair for this project, I waited till they arrived this week...

I started with painting the cover with black gesso.
When it was dry, I mixed texture powder with black gesso, so it had more 'body' to use with my Distressed Diamonds Stencil from Dusty Attic.

I painted my chipboard corner pieces also with black gesso, and when they were dry, I added them with 3d gel. I gave the cover here and there a layer of clear crackle varnish and when it was dry and crackled I painted that part of the cover again with black gesso.I did the same with a leaf from chipboard (the fairy queen's hair).

The art pebbles and the chipboard words also got a layer of black gesso.
When all was dry I softly dry brushed the parts with the new waxes. I used opal magic turquiose and metallique white gold. I used some acrylic paints mermaids sparkle too, on some of the art pebbles and the chipboard words.

I was inspired to use these gorgeous colors because of the gorgeous moodboard from Mixed Media & Art challenge March.

After all was dry brushed I glued down the sisal, flower, fairy, words and art pebbles with 3d gel.

Happy Go Lucky - Tina Ollett - Challenge Inspiration

Hello and welcome.
Tina with you today to share my moodboard inspired creation titled .....

"Happy Go Lucky"

For this layout I have used the Dusty Attic moodboard for inspiration. I have it below for you.

Isn't is just gorjussssssss????
So I have taken a couple of these inspirational snippits and added them to my layout. They are the colours from the bouquet in the basket on the bike, and the tint of browns from the feathers at the bottom. As for the sketch.....well yes I have used that to some extent and then moved on from there! I am terrible at following a sketch. But this is what moodboards are all about, taking one piece of inspiration and turning it into your own.

This project has been titled "Happy Go Lucky", which is exactly what my third child is. Nothing bothers her and she has a heart of gold.  She is also very eager to please and loves nothing more than to see people happy! So when mum asks for her to smile she does and then some!

For this layout I have combined two of the 49andMarket collections, Vintage Artistry and Heirloom Botanicals. My background was made using both cut up torn and layered.

My base page was covered with white gesso to tone down the colours and then I added in a little Dusty Pink Acrylic Paint to balance the purple and pink in the layout. I have also added in some texture using Dusty Attic's Script Stencil and Texture Paste.

I have used Dusty Attic's Elegant Pearls to look like they are hanging from the Leafy Flourish (DA0759) above. Both of the chippies were dressed in gesso and coloured with Distress Inks and paints. I have also dressed the Elegant Pearls with pink pearls. The Dusty Attic chipboard "Capture this Moment" was dressed with embossing powder and then wiped over with a little gesso.

I have finally gotten to used the newest to the 49andMarket flower range......"Vintage Shades".....I love this so much!! If you don't have these in your collection yet ...you should! They are just stunning! And there are two shades through the flowers which you don't see until you flip up the petals......toooo gorgeous! I have cut a couple of these in half to make them go further. They have all been dusted over with a little gesso.

And I forgot to mention the foliage that comes with the Vintage Shades flowers........gorgeous yet again. I am a lover of foliage and each pack has plenty to go around. I have also added in a little moss for added texture.

I have also added in some lace blooms with pearls.

I love this little Word Strips pack. These pieces are the perfect addition to every layout.
