Beauty - Tina Ollett - Mood Board Inspiration

Tina with you today to share a project that I created with inspiration from this months most stylish and delectable board ever! I really am not into purple, but black and silver with purple, well that is a whole other conversation altogether.
The quote "Be your own kind of beautiful" really got me to thinking about a photo my eldest daughter took of herself a few weeks back and it was simply beautiful which is where I went with my layout.
So for those who have not seen the moodboard I have added it below. Why not give the moodboard a go. There is a $100 Dusty Attic voucher for the winning entry. All you need do, is create a project incorporating some Dusty Attic goodness and link it to the right hand side of the blog to be in the running.

And my interpretation of the moodboard is

"Beauty"

In my big box of 49andMarket goodies I came across the “Conservatory” patterned paper from the Heirloom Botanicals collection. I was very pleased to see that I still had a sheet left! This was my starting point and base paper for this project. I added in some stencilling firstly using a little texture paste through the Dusty Attic Heart Attack stencil.

I decided that the hearts needed a little colour so I added in some Dusty Attic acrylic paint(Sugar Plum)to give the hearts some life.

And what is a layout without fussy cutting. Well I think I certainly did my fair share of fussy cutting for this one. I wanted to added that touch of silver / grey to the layout and I found it in the Flower Fairies of Spring collection on “At the Quarry”. I had a section already fussy cut in my goodies box from a previous project. I also decided to cut another sheet to add more detail to my project so I could add them altogether to make a frame for my page.

You can see more of the fussy cut elements from this view here.

I have used the gorgeous Dusty Antique #2 frame to sit behind the photo to lift it a little more. This chippie piece was inked with Distress Ink Black Soot and then I drew in some liquid pearls to help it stand out from the layout. On the top of the cluster I have added in the Dusty Heart piece from the Dusty Fancy Flourish #2 and on top of that I popped a strip from the Wordplay #2 chipboards. I love these new additions. Just perfect for layouts that only need a small title or for journalling also.

And of course I have added in my all time favourite 49andMarket Rustic Blooms.I changed the colours using Dusty Attics acrylic paints (Sugar Plum and Soot) and some Color Bloom Spray Mist.

The Antique frame from another view. I have also added in some stained muslin and a couple of butterflies cut from the Flower Fairies of Spring Cut out Sheet.
