My Story AND Cheeky - Jacqueline Moore

Happy Sunday everyone, just before I share Jacqueline's two stunning layouts I just want to say that I forgot to mention on the previous post that our gorgeous Gabrielle Pollacco also has her awesome work in the Summerset Memories magazine !
I really wish that you could also see the dimension in Jacki's layouts - If you can imagine that they are about two to three inches high and all those glorious layers in between...... enjoy

Hi everyone!!! It's Jacqueline here back again with a couple of things to share with you today!!! First up I would like to share with you the layout I created based on the moodboard here at Dusty Attic for May.

May's Moodboard:

And here is what I came up with!!!

'Be Happy, Dream Big'

I was very inspired by the colors in this moodboard..... How could I not be? They are my favorites!!!

Some close-up:

As I am sure many of you know by now, I adore chipboard frames!!! I could use them on everything!!! When creating this layout I couldn't quite find a frame the right size to be placed here so I have taken one of the smaller plates in the Nameplates #2 set and used a metal ruler and Stanley knife to carefully cut the center out creating this gorgeous little frame. I have painted it with the new 13 Arts Metallic Turquoise paint, then gone over the top with Distress Stickles in Lagoon.

I have done the same thing with the ATC Frame #2, cut out the middle, then paint with Metallic Turquoise and Lagoon Blue Stickles.

Both of my 'new' frames have been layered amongst the papers to the left of my photograph.

The Decorative Scroll #1 comes with 4 separate pieces. A larger scroll, and a smaller scroll, each containing 2 pieces, a much thicker, bulkier, bottom piece, and a much more delicate piece that layers on top.
I have taken all 4 pieces and painted them thoroughly white with gesso, including all the edges..... This took a while as you can probably imagine as they are quite fiddly pieces, and also one is quite large. When the gesso was completely dry I have taken the more delicate top layer of each scroll and brushed a generous amount of 13 Arts Gold Glitter Paint onto it. I have then secured it to its larger bottom half. The Gold on the top layer makes it easier to distinguish between the two whilst adding to the dimension.

I have placed the larger scroll on my paper layers, adding some twine, calico, and my photo on top. The smaller one I have place on the upper left corner of my photo.

I have taken 2 Word Disks #1 and painted them using Black Water-based Ink. This is my favorite way for making chipboard black. It takes just a few drops give you an even, matte finish

I have cut a few hearts from the Heart Attack Panel Small #1 and covered them in chunky Gold Glitter. I have also cut two of the lace drops off the Lace Border #1, painting them white and dipping the tips in gold glitter. I have tucked them under the blue flower sitting in the smaller decorative scroll (on the left of my photo) like leaves.

Next up have a gorgeous fun 'Green' layout with another adorable photo of my boy!!
'Cheeky'

So this background i actually made about a year and a half ago..... Using my beloved watercolor paints, but then it got lost amongst all my paper. I found it a few weeks ago when i was organizing my stuff. I decided to add some stencilling on top with a white Gel Pen and some SPLASH! ink in white.

Very happy I decided to use it!!!
Details:

I have painted a Peacock Feather completely white with gesso, then used 2 colors of mist, Pastel Lime and Chalk Celadon to color it. I have brushed the tips of the 'feathers' with Gold Glitter paint.

I have painted the large butterfly above and the small one below with Acrylic paints also from 13 Arts.

I have used a small brush to very carefully paint a line around the edges at the top of the Peacock Feather in Gold Glitter.

The 'Love You' arrow has been given the same treatment as the Peacock Feather.
I have cut a few more hearts from the Heart Attack Panel Small #1 and covered them in Gold Glitter. I have then used foam tape to mount one onto the arrow above the heart 'o' of 'you'. The rest I have scattered around the page.

I have added an ATC Frame #4 amongst my paper layers. It has been given the same treatment as the frames in my first layout.

My title 'Cheeky' has simply been colored black using Black Water-based Ink.

That's all from me today!!! I hope you have enjoyed!!!
