February is the month for love!!
So in keeping with this the ATC theme for this month is...LOVE.
Here are some 'Love' ATC's by DT members Audrey and Karen.
'Happy Valentine's Day' ATC by Karen Shady
I am having so much fun creating these ATC’s. February’s theme is ‘LOVE’. I have made a Valentines ATC, using traditional Valentine’s day colours in white, and shades of pink. I used a piece of Dusty Attic corrugated card as the base of my ATC, and simply swiped the edges using Alabaster Dusty in colour paint. The focal point of my ATC are the gorgeous Moroccan design chippies, Ive used 2 of the small ones, again painted them with Alabaster Dusty in colour.
Make sure you call in to the Dusty Attic Ning page, to see more ATC’s, and you can even join in on our monthly ATC swap.

DUSTY ATTIC PRODUCTS USED:
"Key To My Heart" by Audrey Underwood
I couldn’t help but use Red for February.
When the paint was dry I sanded and distressed the pieces.
I
used the small Dress form from the Divine Divas set and because I like
to keep within the restrictions of the basic ATC card measurements I cut
the wings from the dress form and repositioned them behind the form. I
love the detail on the wings in this set. I manipulated the wings in my
hand to form some curves and a flick so that they weren’t flat to the
ATC back. I can’t help myself I just love the white distressed look so
each piece of chipboard got the same treatment.
I’ve
fallen in love with Dusty’s Crackle Varnish to give that aged look.
This was applied to the Heart and Mini Flourishes and left to dry. Being
a little,, ok, a lot inpatient I didn’t want to wait for the Crackle to
dry and unlike some other brands of Crackle you can help the drying
process along with a heat gun or hairdryer. The thinner you apply the
Crackle the thinner the cracks and vice versa.
To enhance the cracks I applied some LuminArt Radiant Rain dauber in Hot Cinnamon. I wiped the excess off using a damp cloth.
Happy Creating
