Simply Amazing - Michelle Van Oudtshoorn

Hello lovelies

It is really cold here in NZ, winter has finally arrived. As I am writing this the wind is howling outside and it is snowing around us. Brrrrr! I have layout that I created that I am sharing with you today.

I have used a Uniquely Creative paper range to create my layout. The chipboard has all been painted with Prima Metallique Acrylic paint. I placed the two iron garnishes (DA1868 and DA1869) on the page, and did not stick these down, until I had placed them apart in away that the frame (DA2673) would fit along the straight lines of these garnish pieces. Then I adhered these to the page.
I have placed foam tape under the photo frame so that it lays in line with the garnish pieces.
Once these pieces were adhered, I began layering my flowers (49 and Market) at the corner edges. Between these flowers, I have added some of the mini heart buttons (DA3430) with twine that I have thread through the holes in both clusters.
There are also some mini heart buttons added to the page for an effect.
The title "Simply Amazing" (DA2747)  has been added to each flower cluster.
To finish off, I have added some micro beads to the page.

These are the products I have used:

Thanks for visiting the blog today.

Big hugs,
Michelle

Sweet Memories - Patricia Basson

Good day dear Bloggy friends at this first Blogpost for 2023!
For my first post for Dusty Attic I chose again this lovely photo of Chantelle at her Matric Farewell Dance.
I used papers from 13Arts, the Aria Story and Out of the Blue Collections. I distressed the papers by punching random borders and used several rub-ons as well.

I gesso'd the Fancy Frame, Broken Bits and Mini Caption. The 'sweet' I painted with Salvaged Patina Distress Paint. The Frames and Broken Bits were painted with a Yellow Acrylic Paint, Warm Red paint from Stamperia and Crackling Campfire Distress Paint. I also splashed some watered down gesso on them.

On the Iron Garnish and 'Memories' I used Dublin Metallic Flakes from Finnabair.

The Dusty Attic On-line Store is filled with these and many many more amazing designs...

You can call it failure

or you can call it experience
and let it teach you.

Happy Northern Lights canvas - Kerstin Filou

Welcome everyone!

Welcome into the new year 2023,

wish you a year full of fun and joy in creative work !

It's wintertime here, cold, snow and ice have us again fully in the grip.
but it can be also a very special time, in the high north of Europe  you can now discover  Northern Lights, they change the landscape into a magic winterland.
I  have not seen them myself yet, but they fascinate me.

I was inspired to create a mixed media canvas as new wall decoration for a childs room.
In the dark starry sky they shine especially bright
and the little penguin marvels at these great wonders of nature.

Nothern Lights were painted with acrylic and metallic paints, love to combine several techniques with the classical scrapbooking style, it's always very exciting.
At Dusty Attic you can find always a lot of inspiring chippies, which can be magnificently combined for all kinds of techniques and ideas,I just love to try out new ideas and surprise others with them.

Hello everyone,

For the second time I've been working on this month's mood board.
This time a made a layout with black accents.

I put a layer of black embossing powder on all the chipboard I used from Dusty Attic.

Under all the swirls and text there is a white border that I cut out from white cardboard.

I used the following Dusty Attic Chipboard:
