If you can DREAM it - Ankarika Craft

 Hi all!

The decor I'm presenting today is the result of my work during a live meeting on the "Cudna Paczka" Facebook group. Some time ago, I volunteered to do a project on the vision theme of women's power. Only then I began to search for the colloquial understanding of this slogan, and I cannot hide the fact that I was somewhat taken aback by it. Well, the most popular vision is simply vulgar.... And this is not what was in my mind when I volunteered to do this task. So I decided to stick to my standards, according to which a woman, whether alone or with the support of other women, is an extraordinary power! Because who can do it if not us?! :) Therefore, in the frame you will see a lioness who has just returned from a hunt, exhausted, smeared in blood but confident and dignified. I wouldn't want to stand in her way at this moment.

I found the lioness figure perfectly in harmony with the luscious colours from the November moodboard challenge. See the poster below. I encourage all of you to take part in our challenge. of course. All you have to do is add your art work to the comments section of the Dusty FANattics Facebook group for a chance to win one of two amazing prizes of $50 (AUD) on purchases from their store. I can't wait to see your work on the Dusty FANAttics group. The décor is mounted on a wooden frame and covered with canvas. I secured it with white gesso.

To decorate the background I've used three different stencils: Fan, Mandala and Creative Script, and crackle effect paste. Once dry, I applied three different colours of acrylic paint: red, orange and yellow. I applied it in horizontal brush motions, creating smudges that blended together fantastically. In certain places I added a little brown paint to create a streaky effect and finally I gently whitewashed the whole surface.

I glued jute lace in the upper half above. I then prepared the cardboard - from Dusty Attic of course! ;) This time I chose an elegant frame with swirls, and arranged a second frame, slightly smaller one with an image of a lioness on top. Both frames and both texts: "Believe" & "If you can dream it, you can do it" I secured with white gesso. On the frames I applied a textured paste with sand particles in a beige shade. I backed them with delicate lace and embellished them with 3D dots from Nuvo in yellow. The Believe inscription is half yellow (hot embossing) and the other half is lightly coloured with red wax. The final inscription with the sentence is luscious red and lightly whitewashed to maintain the style.

The flower composition is a fairly labour-intensive work this time. The beige leaves are the result of using a stencil and crackle effect paste. Once dry, I cut out the leaves and dyed them a little brown for a vintage effect. The brown leaves are die-cut paper.

White linen flowers are made by myself and am proud to present them today. I think they are wonderfully beautiful, delicate and just lovely! For the company here I have added two brown flowers, also jute and made by me. They are now available in my shop on Etsy, so feel free to buy them here.

For the finishing touch, I used tiny pebbles and a magnificent bow made of thick jute twine.
