Making Memories - Patricia Basson - Mood Board Inspiration

Today I am sharing a page for the Dusty Attic Moodboard using a photo of me and the two girls...
I used papers from the Lost in Time collection from Craft O Clock.

The paper is so beautiful with the colors matching the Moodboard, I did not need to add too much to it. I only used a Stencil and some Metallic Gold Studio 490 Embossing Paste to add a little texture and glitz.

I used some Prima Resin Mold Frames. They were painted with Rust effect Pastes Brown and Olive Green and Waxes Red Amber and Sage Leaves.

I embossed the Square Frame with Lindy's embossing powder, Cleopatra's Copper and the Honeycomb Broken Bits with Cosmic Shimmer Gilding Flakes Red Blaze.

On the Foliage Cluster I also used the Gilding Flakes. After Gesso'ing the Lacey Heart Frame and Fancy Trim, I added Crackle Paste. Once dry I painted with Lindy's Stampgang Sprays, Red Hot Poker Orange and Cattail Copper Brown.
I painted the Small Daisies Flowers with white Acrylic Paint and also with the Lindy's Sprays. I punched stamens for the center and added a half Gemstone as well.

The embossing did not seem to 'stick' to the gesso on the Leaves and gave a running effect that I find very interesting and gorgeously distressed...

On the Decorative Frame I used the Cattail Copper Brown Spray and on the Word Disk the Red Hot Poker Orange.

Imagine and Discover - Lynette Jacobs - Mood Board Inspiration

Lynette here, welcome to the blog today. I am sharing my take on the October mood board. When my son, Wynand, sent me these cute photos of Lukas and Eben I just knew that I wanted to use ALL the photos to tell the story.

The Mood board:

Some close up details:
I used different acrylic paints to create a rust effect on the industrial chipboard pieces.

I clustered the various chipboard pieces around the photos.

The Chipboard titles were heat embossed.

I just love how fun and rustic this page turned out.

Why not enter the Mood Board challenge yourself? All you need to do is add your take of the challenge into the comments section on the Dusty FANattics Facebook page HERE for your chance to win one of two amazing $50 Credits to choose any. Good Luck and have fun creating.

Found Objects - Karan Gerber - Mood Board Inspiration

Hello Creative Friends and welcome back to my mixed media project for Dusty Attic based on this months moodboard.

This months mood board is filled with oranges and browns and a bit of green. I altered a liqueur bottle using some of my favorite mechanical pieces.

I blended in a few industrial pieces on the front and sides of the bottle.

using mediums from prima, rust, fluid acrylics and wax, i put this together. Layering pieces o the front of the bottle.

I love how this turned out and it now sits in my scrap space.

I hope you give this months mood board a try
