Altered gift box - Kasia Salmanowicz - Mood Board Inspiration

Hello everybody!

Do you know Dusty Attic mood board for this month? Our design team present you a lot of beautiful inspirations. What’s your propositions? Today I have for you wooden box in a circle shape with decorative lid. Whole composition in blue color with

delicate beige accents and Dusty Attic chipboard.

At the beginning I covered whole elements with white gesso. With chipboard I used metal embellishments, hdf decors and paper little flowers. There are also natural elements like wooden sticks.  I got a

little bit of sisal between all the elements. After drying, I glued the whole with a heavy body gel.

I like very much coloring with acrylic paints, so I used it here. I blended blue acrylic paint with water. Then my paint is more fluid and inaccurate, giving

interesting effects after drying. There, I dried the blended acrylics and then

again I splashed in some places.

I whitened the edges using white gesso. A also added black paint emphasizing only the contours of individual elements. To this stamps in several places and finished!
