Sugary Sweet - Michelle Carrick - Mood Board Inspiration - Off the page

Hello beautiful people,

I truly hope you all had a wonderful Easter!

So for my first impression of the April mood board, is Easter related!
This is an off the page project of an Ostrich egg.

This one’s a bit more complicated,
in that I used a Dremel tool.
{It’s a handheld grinder for use in
all sorts of hobbies.}

I took my egg and cut the front off and then I cut it to look broken, as well as drilling little holes in it!
Once I had done that, I began to stain with Tim Holtz Alcohol inks
~Sunshine yellow and Red Pepper~

For the Chip boards I painted with Prima Art Alchemy Sparks paint,
as well as Rust Effect paste
~Fairy Wings and Rust paste Brown~

For the eggs I used Polystyrene eggs.

I painted with inks first, then crackle paint and then the top coat.

Splatted with brown paint watered down.

For the title I used Tim Holtz Alcohol inks

~Clover and Citrus~

and to give a bit of shimmer I dusted with All purpose ink

~Champagne Mist~

I then Glued everything in place and the last touches were
the broken looking pieces of egg that I attached last!

I truly hope that I have inspired you to step
out of your comfort zone and
Try something NEW!!!
