Hello there Dusty Attic Fans!!! I am so glad to be back sharing my projects with you all after having some time off. I recently just got back from teaching on a crafting cruise and we were all asked to join in on a tag swap. The theme was sail the seas so I this is what I created.
To begin I coated my tag with Clear gesso. Once dry, I then created my background using Distress Oxide Inks and sprays. Then stamped a wood grain stamp over the top, I used Tim Holtz Birch and Pine stamp set.
I applied a thin coat of TCW9001 white gesso on all my chipboard pieces. For the Port Hole chipboard, I used Distress Oxide Ink pads to create a rusty patina effect.
I also used the Distress Oxide Ink Pads to the Adventure tab and the mini fish skeleton chipboard.
For the compass chipboard I lightly brushed the coffee and sepia archival ink and then painted TCW9028 Antique Gold Modeling Paste.
I trimmed the Fish Net panel down to the size I wanted and then heat embossed using Stampendous Aged Ivory Embossing Enamel. I then adhered it to the tag and wrapped some twine around the the tag.
I used Graphic 45 By The Sea collection for the ship in the port hole and the backing of the tag. To finish off the tag I added some art stones and glass beads.
