Hello there lovely Dusty Attic Fans, Farrel here today to share my interpretation of this month's mood board challenge. And can I just say, I love this mood board!!! The theme and colours are right up my alley!!!
At the end of the blog I have a process video so please feel free to check it out.
For my background papers I used 49 and Market Captured Adventures - The Journey and Far Away Land. I used Paper Artsy Fresco Chalk Acrylic Paint - Mermaid and Caribbean Sea and white gesso for the background colour of the layout.
I covered all my chipboard pieces in white gesso and used Paper Artsy Fresco Chalk Acrylic Paint - Mermaid and Caribbean Sea to cover the starfish, page pebble and wordpl@y (seaside escape). Then applied some archival ink in Sepia and Coffee to add the different tones for brown. I also dry brushed the flowers with white gesso to tone the colour down.
For the ship wheel I heat embossed using Stampendous Aged Taupe Embossing Enamel. I tore a piece of corrugated cardstock and using my finger rubbed some white gesso around the edges. To colour the cheesecloth I used Prima Color Bloom spray - Summer Sky and 13 Arts Ayeeda Chalk Mist - Turquoise.
To finish off the layout I added some art stones and glass beads.
