Days ike these ... - Tina Ollett

When I saw a previous Mood Board (May's)  I knew exactly just what I was going to create.
 Can you guess.............?
Yes of course a beachside layout, my most favourite things of all to create. I so enjoyed every single moment of this creative process. This has been titled............

"Days like these................."

I have used 49andMarket's beautiful Scents of Nature to capture the beauty of a seaside adventure, my son and our dogs experienced a couple of years ago at our favourite holiday getaway.

The bonus sheet you will find on the reverse of the cover sheet of Scents of Nature was my background piece used for this project. And below Beauty Abound was used for tearing and matting sections of my project.

I also used lots and lots of beautiful 49andMarket Shimmer and Shine handmade flowers. They were a perfect match for my seaside project. I used these along with seashells and some seasponge and also a little driftwood that were discovered on our holiday trip. I love to add these little bits and pieces. It for me makes it all that more authentic.

I have used lots and lots of Dusty Attic chipboard goodies to embellish my layout with as you can see above. I took inspiration from a previous moodboard and used a seahorse from the mini Seashells chipboard pack. This was dressed in Distress Ink and Distress Crackle. The large chains were simply inked with Distress Ink Walnut Stain and the chipboard strip quote was primed with gesso inked with Rusty Hinge and Walnut Stain and whilst they were still wet I generously covered it with Distress Crackle to enhance the colours.

The Ship Steering Wheel which you see below was  coloured with a mixture of Distress Inks again enchance with the addition of Distress Crackle. The edges were inked over with a little more Walnut Stain Ink.

My background page was created using the new release Fleur De Lis Dusty Attic stencil. I created textures using Crackle Paint. I also did some colouring of the background using watered down Rusty Hinge Distress Ink with a paintbrush. To create a little more texture I also added in small and large Art Stones with some 3D gloss gel.

The chipboard Dodads were dressed up with White Crackle Paint. Once it was fully dried I wiped it over with a little Walnut Stain around the edges to highlight it.

And from another view.

Well that is all I have for you today.Thank you so much for joining me here today.
Until next time take care and happy scrapping.
