My little girl and I were on the beach at March 26th this year, and we had such a peaceful and joyful afternoon together.
It gave me a wonderful feeling of being blessed, because we both felt this amazing inner peace after being there for just a few hours.
We collected shells together and I wanted to use them for an altered piece.
I had a very big shell in my stash for quite some time now, and it was perfect for an altered project.
My sweet friend Kasia had send me these cute little seahorses and I used them on my project to let them represent me and my little girl that afternoon at the beach...
I first ripped the sides of the seagrass chippies a little bit apart, and then I painted them twice with white acrylic paint.
I glued some sisal and the seagrass chippies in the bigger shell with 3d gel.
Next I added the little shells, metal stars, metal round objects and the seahorses.
When it was dry, I painted everything with clear gesso.
Then I poored some clear crackle varnish between the layers of the little shells.
When it was dry and crackled, I added a layer of white gesso.
And then the fun began! I sprayed blue and yellow-gold inks from Lindy's Stamp Gang on my project, and dried it with a heattool. Adding several layers until I was satisfied.
I added gold Finnabair wax with a brush and my fingertips. Highlighting my little seahorses in the middle.
The chipboard title is first embossed with white embossing powder and then painted with white acrylic paint. When the paint was not yet dry, I sprinkeld some golden glitter over the title.
