Days like this ... Patricia Basson - Mood Board Inspiration

I know I'm not the only one who is never really Happy with what I create...and then once in awhile there is that one page that just works and looks good in my own opinion. This is one of them...

The February mood-board from Dusty Attic is filled with gorgeous, soft, dreamy looking images. The pastel colour palette has soft Teals, Blue Greys and even a little Purple. There are images of cabinets, chairs, a desk, frames and even a little Teddy-Bear...Enough inspiration to get you going this month!

I immediately fell in love with the frames and knew I want to layer two Decorative Frames on top of each other. I feel this gives a kind of artistic feel as they are covering Michelle's face, but still allows me to see her gorgeous smile...which is also a prompt from the Mood-board.

Papers are from Blue Fern Studio...Un Voyage a Paris from Deja Vu and Ginger's Dream from Ombre Dreams. I had another design in mind but absolutely ruined beyond use the only sheet of paper that I had...but in the end I think I love this one more...lol! With a Prima stencil and Broken China DI I stencilled a little on the background. Also did some stencilling with Prima Snowflake Paste..This gives some texture and a little sparkle...The splats are made with a mix of  Dimensional Glue, a few drops of water and a tiny bit of Lindy's Stampgang Magicals, Time Travel Teal...

My flowers are all from Petaloo International...The Tickets are such great elements to tuck between layers. All the word chipboards were just lightly Gesso'd and inked with the Broken China DI.

This is a high photo cluster because of all the fibre trims I have added...resulting in the frame-ends literally hanging in the air.

To colour the bottom Decorative Frame #2 and top Decorative Frame #1 I made a paste of  Mountain Meadow Paint and 13 Arts Magic Multi-purpose Powder and plastered it on the chipboard. I also sprayed it with LSG FlatFabio, Merci Beaucaupe Mint.

Can you also see a little snake in that curl...?

Combining a Word Strip and Page Pebble to create my title.

The small frame from the Decorative Frame Set #1 was ideal to be placed at the bottom of my page.
