Stunning Layout by Geraldine

Hi everyone, O.K. so I have been MIA for a short while  - I have been having a very well needed holiday in Italy, Paris, London etc. but now it's back to reality!
Today I'm sharing a layout I created using some wonderful 'New' Dusty Attic Chipboard pieces which have been painted with 'Dusty in Colour' paints. I decided not to give this layout a title -  because sometimes I
feel a page just doesn't call for one!

Altered Cigar Box - Robin

Hello everyone!

Today I am happy to share with you an altered cigar box made using Dusty Attic's chipboard Cigar Box (DA0981).  I painted the box using Dusty in Colour's Soot acrylic paint (DA0925).  Next, I added a metal label holder to serve as a handle for easy opening of the box.

Next, I painted the brand new "Birds on a Branch" chipboard piece (DA1003) using Dusty in Colour's Crushed Olive (DA0917); Navajo White (DA0903); Gingernut (DA0922) and Forest (DA0919).

I also used a beautiful mini hearts border to trim the top of my box.  The border was also painted using Navajo White paint.

Thanks for visiting with us today.

Wedding Cards Suitcase - Louise

When I was asked to decorate this old suitcase for a friends wedding cards to go in, not only was I honoured, but I also knew immediately that I would want to incorporate some Dusty Attic chipboard in there somewhere too.

I chose to use Corner Flourish No. 4 as a base for the huge cluster of flowers. I first treated it to some new DA rusting powder though :-)

Here you can see a closer view of those gorgeous vines from the flourish poking out.

In fact, in the end the chippy was covered up more than I would have liked, but the great thing about this particular one is there is still a whole other corner in the pack to have another play with again!

Thanks for looking

LOVE - Karen

Hey everyone,

I have a layout to share today, which I created using some of my all time favourite Dusty Attic pieces ( listed below)  The layout, which stars my 3rd oldest son, Samuel, and his girlfriend Sharnee was published in Scrapbook Creations magazine this month, as part of their 'Colour challenge'.

I sprayed and inked the background, using a mix of Lindy stamp gang sprays, and chalk inks, applied with a makeup sponge.

The Dusty chippies are simply painted with Dusty in colour acrylic paint, in Alabaster, and again, I prefer to apply this with a makeup sponge. I've used a charcoal coloured ink, to colour the LOVE title.

I've used lots of gorgeous Manor House Creations flowers, and lots of fussy cut floral images from the Graphic 45 papers. The mauve butterflies are images I found on my computer, which I printed onto cardstock and fussy cut out.

You have the Key to my heart - Helena

Key

For this layout about my dh, I have used one of my all time favourite Dusty Attic pieces - the Decorative Scroll #1 (DA0213). I just love that this piece is in two parts, which gives it so much dimension and possibilities.

I know pink and purple aren't the most usual colors for a male layout, but then so are not flowers and I use them for boy/male pages all the time! I painted the scroll with Dusty in Colour, Sugar Plum (DA0908) and Dusty Pink (DA0907). I then used some white gesso on top to tone down the colors a bit.

For the title I used the Mini ABC set lower (DA0862), which I just kept raw.

I have put my photo on top of the scroll and decorated with flowers around it.

Here's a close-up of the scroll, painted in pink and white:

Some more close-ups for you:

I tied a white ribbon to the scroll and then just let it "flow" across my layout, and attached it with some flowers in the other end.

The beautiful papers are from Maja Design.
Thanks for stopping by today!

covered with Clear Gloss Varnish (DA0901).
