Remember Today - Cathy Cafun - March Moodboard Inspiration

Hi everyone, Cathy here today sharing my take on this month's Mood Board Challenge at Dusty Attic.  How gorgeous is the colour palette and shabby roses theme!!
"Remember Today"

The inspiration I took from this month's Mood Board was the colour palette, pretty blooms and lace doily.

To create my background I stencilled with the Damask #2 stencil and Prima Modelling Paste.  I then stamped the floral pattern by applying Dusty in Colour sugar plum acrylic paint to the Stampers Anonymous vines and roses stamp, then spritzed with a touch of water to give a watercolour effect.  I also stamped with Kaisercraft script background, then finished off with the beautiful Dress My Craft White Sunshine sequins for a bit more texture, which I applied with Dusty in Colour Clear Gloss Varnish.

I altered the Dusty Attic Vintage Frame #2, Lacey Trims and Foliage #1 chipboard pieces by coating first with gesso, then applying white liquid pearls, which creates a beautiful finish for those shabby chic/romantic layouts.
How sweet are the recent release Mini Captions!!  I altered my title with Dusty in Colour sugar plum acrylic paint and white liquid pearls.

Other Product Used:
Cocoa Vanilla pp
Lemoncraft pp
Ranger Liquid Pearls
Prima Modelling Paste
Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Vines and Roses stamp
Pearl embellishments
Lace flowers
Kaisercraft Script Background stamp
Distress Ink - hickory smoke

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Happy Crafting

Cherish - Patricia Basson - March Mood board inspiration

Hello Friends....
This month the Dusty Attic Moodboard inspiration is filled with soft pastel colours and blooms...I used all the colours, Pinks, Blues and Yellows and also an abundance of blooms on my page. I used papers from 49&Market,  Botanical Press from the Vintage Artistry Range. The flowers are from Little Birdies. I had another photo and chipboard in mind, but when I came upon this photo of my eldest daughter from early 1987, I had to use it on this page.

I used two paper sheets, the top one was torn at the ends, my idea was to create a floral arrangement spilling from the bottom to the top layer...Three packets of flowers gave my a beautiful arrangement.

I gesso'd the Mystic Frame #2 and Paisly #3  and embossed them with the following Lindy Stampgang Embossing Powders, Bonjour Butter, Raspberry Lemonade and Tilt-a-Wheel Teal.

I used the Dusty Attic Rose Stencil  with Cracked Pistachio, Fossilized Amber and Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide Inks to create some interest in the background. A little bit of hand stitching and my page was done ...

There is still enough time to get your Moodboard inspired creation added, There are two $50 Prizes up for grabs! Have a look at what is to offer in the Dusty Attic Shop...

You Matter to me - Valerie Ouellet - Moodboard Inspiration

Hi Dusty Attic fans!

I'm back with a layout inspired by the moodboard of the month.  I was inspired by the colors and the flowers.
I embossed some flowers with Purely white embossing powder and Dusty Attic stencil rose. It gives me a better resistance for my watercolor ink effect after. This is a technique inspired from my friend Caroline Elliam.

I used the chipboard "Atc Frame #6" behind my photo. The title "You matter to me" chipboard is embossed by Lindy's embossing powder.

I added Cuts2luv flair "You make me happy" and 49andMarket flowers.
