Better Late than Never!!!!! - Audrey Underwood

Never a dull moment in this house. It feels like only yesterday that we moved and we're at it again

I'm sure I was a gypsy in a former life, we've moved that much. It wasn't really a planned move, so what has been my regular blog posting for Dusty Attic at the beginning or the month, had to be changed. To tell you the truth I didn't think I'd even make a July post, but here I am, I just made it.
Here's my take on this months theme for the ATC - Trinkets and Treasures.

Title Granny's Parlour

One of the things I thought of when I sat to create this ATC and what the theme was, was my Nanna's parlour. We'd go to Nanna's every Sunday for tea, she'd bake what seemed at the time to a 8yr old a smorgasbord of delights, her famous apple pies, lemon Meringue pie, swiss rolls and more. All my Aunts, Uncles and cousins on my Dad's side would be there. One room we were not allowed into was the parlour. It was the special room, full of Nanna's special things. Her trinkets and treasures.
This Ganny's Parlour has seen better days, the wood has cracked, the wallpaper's peeling, the paint chipping and her lamp certainly needs replacing. Her knitting sits waiting for some attention on the old lace tablecloth ;)
Dusty Attic products use - Lamp 2pk DA0668, Chandelier sm 2pk DA0080.
Other products used - paper & sticker letters Kaiser, lace, tulle, thread, beads, tooth picks.
It's so much fun having little girly and baby photos to scrap again. Here's Miss Cadence the apple of my eye putting on her best pose for Uncle Liam.

Dusty Attic products use - 'a Lifetime is' quote - DA0929, Mini Birds #3 - DA0727, Leafy Scroll - DA0764, Flowers Layers #2 DA0503, Dusty Rose Leaves - DA0964, Dusty in Colour - Dusty Pink DA0907 & Navajo White DA0903.

Other products used - Paper - BoBunny, lace, ribbon, brads.

This year I made a promise to myself to get on with the job of scrapbooking and the reason I started this process 13 odd years ago. To print my photos scrap them and get the story behind the photos down on paper. Now this doesn't mean I won't be doing elaborate pages, it just means I'll have a eclectic mix to share.
Like this one, using some of Dusty Attics recent releases, the Circle Mesh and one of my favourites Polaroid Frames, I can see myself using these a lot.

What fun a tube of bubbles make.

For the ATC this month Trinkets and Treasures I decided to use a selection of my
favorite mini's, and mixed it with my favorite colors of pink and white
The Dusty Attic Paint is just the right colour and dries so quickly with a beautiful sheen
If you haven't tried them yet I really urge you to, you will love them.

I also added a French window pane to the back for added decoration.

Joy by Robin Shakoor

Hello,

Today I am delighted to share this summertime layout featuring the gorgeous Ironwork Banner (DA0890) from The Dusty Attic.

Using a paint brush, I applied a simple combination of Sunshine (DA0905) and Pesto (DA0918) acrylic paints from The Dusty Attic to create the finish you see on the chipboard.

To finish my page added pearls to throughout the chipboard design and a strand of pearls around my circle embellishment.  My title was created using the Mini Script ABC Set (DA0859) which I painted using Dusty Pink (DA0907) acrylic paint.

Patterned Paper:  Kaisercraft
Chipboard:  The Dusty Attic - Ironwork Banner (DA0890); Mini Script ABC (DA0859)
Individual Pearls:  Zva Creative
Pearl Strand:  Craft Supply
Paints:  The Dusty Attic - Sunshine (DA0905), Pesto (DA0918), Dusty Pink (DA0907)

Trinkets and Treasures - by Gabrielle Pollacco

Gabrielle here with you today!  I'm always excited to see what the new challenge theme for the Dusty Attic ATC challenge will be for each coming month.  This month (July) has such a fun theme ~ "Trinkets & Treasures".   I wanted to go with losts of gems and glitter for this one.
I began with the ATC Frame Set #4.  I used a whole bunch of heat embossing metalic powders to create a kind of aged metal patina.  I then used the Morrocan Design chippie as a backing for my cameo piece.  This piece I coated with some 3D metalic paints (Scribbles) and different colors of Stickles glitter glue.  And finally to give the ATC more opulance, I added a variety of adhesive gems.
Here are the Dusty Attic pieces I used for this project....

Trinkets and Treasures ATC - Paloma and Robin

and finished!

Hope you like it..

Hello everyone!

The Dusty Attic's ATC theme this month is Trinkets and Treasures so I thought I would create a treasures of the sea themed ATC.

I always like to go a bit out of bounds when it comes to ATCs and this one is no different.  You will notice that the ATC base is see through using Dusty Attic's Mini Chicken Wire chipboard (DA0788) for the base instead of a solid surface.  I painted the chipboard using white and blue acrylic paint which was applied using a dabber.

The gorgeous shapes from the sea are from the Oceanside ATC pack by Creative Imaginations.

Thanks for visiting with us today.  I hope you will give this fun theme a try this month.
