Hello!
It's Belinda here with you today to share my take on the fabulous July mood board. Red, aqua and white is such a gorgeous colour combination that this was a super easy and fun layout for me to create.
'They Love Books'
I have been hoarding some lovely October Afternoon papers and embellishments for quite some time now but I couldn't resist using some of them for this layout. I love the library theme of the papers and they matched the awesome recent release school themed chipboard pieces.
I spread some red spray mist and Jane Davenport Mermaid Ink over my background cardstock with a whole lot of water to create pools of colour before I added some letter stickers. This is a really cool way to use up leftover alphabet stickers. I know I have a heap of leftover stickers so I may just have to do more of these backgrounds. Next I layered on LOTS of papers. I included a page torn from a children's story book too.
I coloured all of the chipboard pieces with my trusty Posca Paint Pens. They really are a mess-free, quick and easy way to alter chipboard. I gave all of the pieces a couple of coats of the white pen. I always let it dry completely between layers otherwise it gets too soggy and you can ruin the surface of the chipboard.
I then used a red and an aqua pen to colour some of the pieces.
How cute are those little bulldog clip chipboard pieces?? I just love them!
Here's what I used:
Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today.
Cheers
Belinda
