Celebrate this - Ankarika Craft

Hi all!

Today I present a project made especially for the moodboard challenge on the Dusty Attic blog. As the colors of this challenge blend from shades of orange to dirty pink, I decided to decorate my frames on both sides with different colors. I am curious how you find yourself in such colours.

Maybe you too will take up this challenge? All you have to do is add your work to the comments section of the Dusty FANattics Facebook group for your chance to win one of two amazing prizes of $50 (AUD) on purchases from their store. I can't wait to see your work on the Dusty FANAttics group.

The HDF frames are from Artistiko, I joined them with lace and a vintage tape on the background. I secured the frames with white gesso and then painted the Distress Collage Medium with a crazing effect. In this way, I obtained delicate cracks along the traces of the brush. It looks fantastic.

On one side, I decided to wear a Dusty Attic dots stencil. With the mist, I gave the color a lush orange on one side and smeared it a bit with a rust-effect paste. At the bottom, the frame is decorated with a decorative cardboard-shaped finish. Right next to it is a brick shade flower from 49 and Market. At the top, I put "Celebrate THIS" on it.

On the other side of the crack, I tweaked the Finnabair gold rose wax, and at the bottom I also put a decorative lace border and three smaller flowers from the same set. At the top I have stuck the inscription "SWEET memories".

I covered the original holes on the frame with decorative ornaments, which further enhanced the atmospheric style of the project.
