My inspiration came from Heather Jacobs LO Moments in time. I just love all her work that she does with Kraft paper & I loved the colors Heather used in this LO.

All of the other products I used on this canvas, are from my stash. I used some Graphic 45 Kraft,& the main piece of Kraft paper is from a Halloween collection from My Minds Eye. I also went through all of my metal,& found lots of oldies (Graphic 45,Tim Holtz,Prima ect. that I could use on this canvas.I have a crazy mess going on from pulling out so much stuff.. Here is the first photo I got of DD,when we got home, before his father fixed that tooth!
This is a smile I will never forget! It is when I felt DD, was in tuned to his body,& knew who is was. As soon as he started to wake up his tongue went straight to the chipped tooth. Once the nurses were able to transfer DD to the bathroom,I would watch him, as he would look at himself at all angles, at this tooth, sometimes I could not help myself ,by getting the giggles. He was still confused & in post trauma brain injury.Well with his father being a Dentist,I thought they both forgot about the brain injury, because all they could talk about is this tooth. Erlendur kept asking Siggi when he was going to fix it,& Siggi was @ home 200 hundred miles away, where his dental practice is,so he could not help him out,@ this time. Siggi offered to send up a Dentist from the City, but no DD wanted Sig to fix it! So the tooth became a distraction from the brain injury, the smile I will never forget,& so happy I took the photo before it was fixed!!!
Here are some close ups of detail....
I used 4 different products on the chipboard & the metal. I dabbed on aqua & ginger Tim Holtz adirondack ink,on both the chipboard & metal & once that dried I applied DA crackle varnish on the chipboard & ranger glaze metal sealer on to the metal.....
Oh, Rachelle - this is just amazing and such meaning behind it! I am enthralled at the detail - and I love how you fashioned the word "smile" :) Everything from the colors to the intense layers of intricacies - you have woven an ingenious tapestry!
